About Midwest Independent Rehab Association

History
Midwest Independent Rehab Association (MIRA) was started in 2008 by a group of physical therapists who were owners of their own practice. All members came together for one common goal: the health of the outpatient, privately owned physical therapy clinic. In a short time, MIRA went from the aspirations of a few therapists, to an organization with 48 member clinics.

What MIRA Does
MIRA strives to educate the community about the benefits of privately owned physical therapy clinics. The association gives each practice the opportunity to share ideas for the health of private practices within the organization. Midwest Independent Rehab Association provides an avenue for all owners to maintain the status and growth of their businesses. MIRA uses objective data to determine the strengths and weaknesses of their clinicians.

How MIRA Does It
Each member clinic uses FOTO, a functional outcome database. This software provides objective data to prove the value of therapy to both patients and the healthcare community.
The results provided by FOTO allows each clinic to capatilize on their strengthes and improve
any weaknesses. With this software, the members of MIRA will be able to provide their patients and referring physicians with better healthcare managment and communication
regarding their treatments.
